DVM, Surgical Resident
Brandon Pate
Dr. Brandon Pate is originally from Lowndesboro, AL. He grew up on a farm raising Charolais cattle with his dad, who is also a veterinarian, and his older brother.
Dr. Pate attended Auburn University for his undergraduate studies and graduated from the Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Upon graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Pate worked at a small animal practice and then an emergency practice in the Panhandle of Florida for three years.
Dr. Pate enjoyed his time in practice but has always had a passion for performing surgery at the highest level on animals. He then went to Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center, where he did his surgical internship before being accepted into the residency program.
Dr. Pate has a special interest in orthopedic surgery and wants to perform total hip replacements one day. He believes that to take care of animals to the highest level, it is essential to form a strong client-patient relationship with the owners and provide the best care through effective communication.
When he is not caring for animals, he enjoys playing golf, playing beach volleyball, watching Auburn sports, hunting, and traveling. Dr. Pate has a boxer mix named Theodore and a golden retriever named Reese.
